According to author Julia Quinn, Daphne and Simon will also be given time for hot lunches in season two of "Bridgerton".

Above all, the hot romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor, 25) and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page, 31), it should be thanks to that "Bridgerton" became the most successful Netflix series of all time. But anyone who knows the novel by author Julia Quinn (52) knows that the couple will play a subordinate role in the following books. Will fans in season two based on the novel "How do you charm a Viscount?" based, so have to do without hot love games between the two series favorites?

Not at all, Quinn suggests to the British "The Sun". In season two, as in the original, Daphne's eldest brother Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey, 32) takes center stage, but with regard to the lovers from season one, she differs from the original. "The series doesn't follow the book word for word, and I don't think it should," Quinn explains. In the series, Daphne is supposed to "have the right to interfere in Anthony's life. Denying her this chance would be criminal. I think it would be nice to see that." And then the Duke of Hastings will not be far away either …

In any case, there is enough material for numerous other episodes of "Bridgerton" given the eight novels by Julia Quinn. As in the book, the big storyline in season two will be Bridgerton's eldest son Anthony's search for the right one. Did he find love for life in the person of Edwina Sheffield?
