Bridgerton: Netflix gives us our first look at young Lady Danbury in the Queen Charlotte spin-off

• The Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will premiere on Netflix in 2023.
• The prequel series follows the early life of Queen Charlotte, who ascended to the British throne by marrying King George.
• A picture that has now been published shows the young Lady Danbury, who became a role model for the queen and therefore played an important part in her life.

She’s not officially a queen, but almost as influential. We are of course talking about Lady Agatha Danbury. Through “Bridgerton” we know her as a strong and respected woman moving in the high circles of nobility. We soon see a different side of her in the Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

Netflix gives us a first look at the ever-regal Lady Dunbury, played in the spin-off by Arsema Thomas, with a newly released image.

The shot shows a well dressed and worried looking Lady Danbury who appears to be talking to someone. Netflix does not reveal who it is. However, it looks a lot like Queen Charlotte (India Amarteifio). We only find out what the two women are talking about in the 6th episode of “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”. This is where the recording comes from.

The upcoming series focuses on Charlotte’s marriage to King George and the societal changes her reign brought about. As a black queen, she paved the way for black men and women to join the British nobility. Also Agatha Danbury.

With her keen knowledge of the once-divided social scene and the intricacies of marriage, Agatha became a role model for the new queen. At the same time she found her own voice and strength, which made her the Lady Danbury we got to know in “Birdgerton”.

It is not yet known when the “Bridgerton” prequel will be released. However, a release is expected in the first half of 2023.
