Bridgerton on Netflix: This is what you need to remember before starting season 3

In the second season of “Bridgerton” we finally got to experience the love story of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. The third season of “Bridgerton” has now started on Netflix, but what actually happened in the turbulent second season and what do we still have to remember for the new episodes?

Kate’s coma and the marriage proposal

The final episode begins dramatically: After Kate’s riding accident, Anthony carries the unconscious woman home. She injured her head and her family fears for her. After Anthony is sent away by the doctor to do his work, Anthony sinks into a deep hole of guilt.

But instead of staying at his lover’s side, Anthony withdraws. When Kate finally wakes up, he visits her. He confesses his love for her and proposes to her, but she refuses. Kate sticks to her plan to return to India. Edwina and Mary Sharma will remain with Lady Danbury until next season. She sends Anthony away.

Edwina and Mary forgive Kate

Kate’s accident makes Edwina and Mary realize how much they love her. They forgive her, but Edwina wants answers from her sister. She realizes that Kate didn’t act out of malice. However, Edwina appeals to her sister to finally stand up for herself and get to know herself. Edwina also finally wants to shed her role.

Kate also confesses to her mother Mary that she slept with Anthony and that he proposed to her. Mary comforts her daughter and convinces her to go to the Featherington Ball.

Lord Jack Featherington and Lady Portia Featherington have found enough investors for their fake ruby ​​face to throw a ball. But since Jack sees no other sources of income in London, he suggests that Lady Featherington run away to America.

Colin Bridgerton, who was supposed to be the last big investor in London’s high society, finds out that the rubies are fake thanks to the bar owner Will Mondrich. He tells Penelope everything during the ball, and Colin also confronts Lord Featherington and demands all the investors’ money back.

Lord Featherington plans to disappear with Lady Featherington and all the money right after the ball. When she asks what will become of her daughters, he casually says that they can come along at some point. He could then break off his engagement to Prudence. He makes it clear to Portia that he could then marry her. His big mistake, because Lady Featherington is now secretly making her own plans.

At the big fireworks display, Portia explains to Jack that she is having his things packed and that he will get enough money for a passage to America. She and her daughters remained in London. The Sharmas and the Bridgertons attend the Featheringtons’ ball despite their scandal. Kate has also decided to accompany her family. For the first time she does what she really wants and dances first with her sister Edwina and then with Anthony.

Although all the other guests leave the dance floor when Anthony and Kate dance, they are no longer deterred. When the Queen and Edwina speak out in their favor, the dance floor fills up again.
