  • The drama series “Bridgerton” has returned to streaming service Netflix with season 2.
  • Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) also plays an important role in the new episodes.
  • In an interview, the actress spoke about the future of her character.

The historical drama “Bridgerton” returned to the Netflix streaming service with season 2 at the end of March 2022. As in season 1, Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) also plays an important role in the sequel. While she is Simon’s surrogate mother in Season 1 and ensures that he and Daphne bond, in Season 2 she serves as the patron of the Sharmas.

Of course, she also influences the love story of Anthony and Kate. In an interview with the US magazine The Hollywood Reporter, Lady Danbury actress Adjoa Andoh (“The Witcher”) spoke about what she hopes for the future of her character.

“I think she loves Eloise. I think she loves Eloise’s fire and the determination with which she goes her own way,” says Andoh. “I think she loves Penelope because I think she sees Penelope’s shyness and knows that there is something behind the shy demeanor and good manners and that’s why I’d love to see more of them together.”

The actress is also hoping for her own love story for her widowed character: “I would love it if Lady Danbury had someone to love. That would be so great. And I just love her appetite. So I would love anything that has it brings out the appetite even more.”

We may find out who that someone might be as early as Season 3 of Bridgerton. If the series sticks to the book template, then Benedict Bridgerton is the focus. We’ll tell you what to expect in all 8 seasons of the Netflix series and what alternatives you can use to pass the time.
