Apple TV + is planning a new drama series with Brie Larson. The "Captain Marvel" star should play an important role in front of and behind the camera.

"Captain Marvel" star Brie Larson (31) is said to be part of the new Apple TV series "Lessons in Chemistry" as the leading actress and producer. This is reported, among other things, by the industry platform "Variety". It is the second Apple drama series in which the 2016 Oscar winner ("Raum") will work in front of and behind the camera.

The series "Lessons in Chemistry" revolves around the life and career of the young Elizabeth Zott, whose dream of becoming a scientist ran into obstacles in America in the 1960s. When Elizabeth becomes pregnant and has to leave her lab, she gets creative …

It is based on the as yet unpublished novel by author Bonnie Garmus. Apple TV + was able to win over Susannah Grant (58) as a screenwriter, whose screenplay for "Erin Brockovich" (2000) was nominated for an Oscar. "Lessons in Chemistry" is to be published in spring 2022, but it is not yet known when filming can begin.
