A bit of magic to make everyday life lighter. On Wednesday, 500 hospitalized children and teenagers walked through the parks of Disneyland Paris. A day organized as part of Operation Yellow Pieces, which Disneyland has supported for over 29 years. Brigitte Macron, president of the Fondation des Hôpitaux, was present with them for this exceptional day. As well as the sponsor of the Yellow Pieces operation, the double world champion Didier Deschamps and the host Jean-Luc Reichmann.
It’s a special year for the Marne-La-Vallée park, which has just celebrated its thirtieth birthday. Special festivities are to be discovered until the end of the year, which the children and their loved ones were able to do.

“The Hospital Foundation has been supporting children, hospitalized adolescents and their families for years to ease their daily lives during this difficult period”, noted Anne Barrère, its vice-president, welcoming the “generosity of Natacha Rafalski (president of Disneyland Paris) and its teams. “An enchanted parenthesis, a flash of light, the time for a day to forget the shadows of the disease”, she summed up so well.
And for the children who couldn’t move, comfort came to them. The Disney VoluntEARS – employees of Disneyland Paris who take part in actions on a voluntary basis – go to hospitals in France and neighboring countries for workshops and meetings with Disney characters.
