The Stéphane Bern Foundation for History and Heritage rewarded its 2021 winners during a ceremony in the presence of Brigitte Macron.
It was in the solemnity of the large conference hall of the Institut de France that the 2021 laureates of the Stéphane Bern Foundation for History and Heritage were rewarded on Tuesday, May 31. Heritage is “a cause that connects. This is what unites us to our land, to who we are. We are going to intensify”, assured Brigitte Macron, present alongside Stéphane Bern for the sixth consecutive year.
The First Lady was particularly seduced by the Coup de coeur, a prize awarded by her to Michaël Canitrot. The DJ producer launched the Monumental Tour in 2019, an encounter between heritage, electronic music and digital culture. “This will bring young people closer to certain sites, they will appropriate or re-appropriate them. You will no longer see Mont-Saint-Michel or the Lighthouse of the Whales in the same way”, promised Brigitte Macron to the guests including the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Empress Farah Pahlavi, the new Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak and Sébastien Lecornu, Minister for the Armed Forces.
