In an autumn look, Brigitte Macron went like every year to a Parisian college for the traditional dictation of the ELA association. A cause that the first lady takes very seriously.
For a good cause, Brigitte Macron took on the role of French teacher that she held for many years. Indeed, Monday, October 17 took place the traditional dictation organized by the European Association against leukodystrophies, at the college of the white rose in Paris. A cause that the wife of the President of the Republic takes very seriously and that she has never missed since she became first lady.
A casual chic look for Brigitte Macron
In a casual chic style, short jacket and matching camel boots, skinny jeans and black turtleneck, Brigitte Macron appeared friendly and available to students, which she has done throughout her career. Every year, she makes a point of carrying out the exercise. This year, the dictation was a text specially written for the occasion, from Goncourt 2021, Mohamed Mbougar Sarr ititled “the star that was not sleepy”. After explaining the nature of the text, namely “an apologue, a short text with a moral” she wanted to reassure the students “If it’s going too fast, you stare at me.” This time the spelling was not the most important, since the aim of the ELA dictation is to support research and bring light to leukodystrophy.
The first lady therefore wished to be the “spokesperson for the parents who tell her of their difficulties”, like those of little Léonie, present at her side. “I am with those who are vulnerable, especially the youngest. We do not always hear their voice”, said Brigitte Macron, aware that for this type of rare disease, “money is lacking, terribly, on oncology treatments, on palliative care, on painkillers for children. (…) I’m going to use a horrible word: maybe that’s not enough” profitable”, but we really have to go into another logic. The economy really has its limits. It is not on these subjects that we should do it.
The first lady very affected by the tragedy which took the life of young Lola
It was also on this occasion that Brigitte Macron returned to the tragedy which cost the life of the young Lola, who aged 12 was horribly killed and whose body was found in a trunk, Friday evening in Paris. This is “an abominable and intolerable drama” declared the wife of the President of the Republic before adding “Right now we have to be particularly vigilant about the youngest because they have immense vulnerability. This drama should remind us of that”. Brigitte Macron then wanted to provide her support and solidarity to all those affected by this tragedy.“We are alongside the students, the teachers and of course the families. It should never be again. It’s abominable” reported Paris Match.
