The 35th edition of the Yellow Pieces 2024 operation was officially launched on January 10 with, again as godfather, the former 1998 world football champion, Didier Deschamps. Its goal ? Improving the lives of hospitalized children and adolescents. Only donations and the collection of the famous Yellow Pieces by the French make it possible to carry out the projects for the children and adolescents in question.
Who better than Brigitte Macron, president of the Hospital Foundation at the origin of Operation Yellow Pieces, to talk about it? This Monday, January 15, the first lady was present on the set of 12 shots of noonthe show presented daily on TF1 by Jean-Luc Reichmann.
Brigitte Macron was very available, attentive and above all committed to this cause. She also agreed to talk a little about herself, about her role as a mother and grandmother.
As the wife of the President of the Republic, Brigitte Macron intrigues the youngest. She also agreed to take part in a question-and-answer game during which a 7-year-old girl asked her what the best day of her life was. If she of course alluded to her experience with her husband Emmanuel Macron, she mainly spoke about her children (Tiphaine, Laurence and Sébastien) and her grandchildren (Camille, Paul, Emma, Alice, Thomas, Élise and Aurèle ): “The 10 best days of my life are my three children and my seven grandchildren. These are the 10 best days of my life.“
When she is with family, there is no question for Brigitte Macron of letting politics take precedence over everything else. She notably indicated during an interview with Marie-Sophie Lacarrau in the TF1 newspaper: “Grandchildren connect me well to the world! I am not the president’s wife to them, I am their grandmother.“Herself at the head of a beautiful tribe, she can therefore only be concerned by the cause she defends.

Brigitte Macron did not only confide in her personal life. She also wanted to recall what the Yellow Pieces are organized for: “We continue to work to bring families together, to develop family homes and parent-child rooms. Develop activities at the hospital. Teenagers ask me about rooms where adults don’t go. I am being asked for more and more sports spaces, which is good because we have the Olympics. […] Teenagers’ homes too. These are places where you can talk about your concerns, possibly addictions, harassment, because unfortunately it is a subject that is extremely significant.“
