It’s a busy week for Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron. This Wednesday, September 20, the presidential couple welcomed King Charles III and Queen Camilla to Paris. After a military ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe then a dinner at the Château de Versailles, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron then met the royal couple the next day to visit the National Library of France. Naturally, all eyes were on Brigitte Macron’s toilet. And the latter did honor to the French thanks to her natural elegance and impeccable style signed Louis Vuitton.
But Brigitte Macron has no time to rest. After two days full of emotions with King Charles III, our First Lady will meet Pope Francis this Saturday, September 23. Indeed, the Pope will go to Marseille to celebrate a mass which Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron will attend, despite the protests of Nupes. Many therefore wonder what outfit will Brigitte Macron adopt in order to respect the clothing protocol.

Pope’s mass in Marseille: how should Brigitte Macron be dressed?
As a reminder, this is not the first time that Brigitte Macron will meet the Pope. A first meeting took place in June 2018 then a second in October 2022. These meetings took place at Vatican, the First Lady was therefore dressed in black, sign of respect and humility. Indeed, protocol requires that only Catholic queens, duchesses and princesses are allowed to wear white in the Vatican. Colorful outfits are simply prohibited.
However, this next meeting will not take place at the Vatican. Result, “There is no particular protocol. Dark attire is simply recommended for the presentation to the Pope”explains a close friend of Brigitte Macron to the magazine Gala. Nor should we expect to see the president’s wife wearing a mantilla. Indeed, this traditional Christian veil has not been widely adopted for several years now.
