The British Academy Film Awards will be presented on March 13, 2022. The event will take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Australian comedian and actress Rebel Wilson (41) will moderate. Fancy creations are said to be undesirable on the red carpet at the event.

The stars were warned ahead of the ceremony to dress “seriously” for the red carpet in light of current events, reports The Sun. Lady Gaga (35), Benedict Cumberbatch (45), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (36), Emma Watson (31) and Naomi Campbell (51) are expected to attend the award ceremony.

A source said, according to The Sun, “Several senior showbiz executives have advised stars to dress formally, fearing flashy dresses and suits would appear inappropriate given the Ukraine war.”

Who gets the prizes?

With eleven nominations, “Dune” tops the list of nominees. The sci-fi drama by Denis Villeneuve (54) was nominated for best film, among other things. In addition to “Dune”, “Don’t Look Up”, “Licorice Pizza”, “The Power Of The Dog” and “Belfast” also compete for the prize. “The Power Of The Dog” goes into the race with a total of eight nominations and “Belfast” with six.
