British film and TV star dies at 102

British film and TV star Earl Cameron died at the age of 102.

He was one of the first dark-skinned actors to get a leading role in Britain, but Earl Cameron passed away last Friday (July 3rd) at the age of 102.

"He died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his wife and family," a spokesman for Cameron told the Guardian newspaper the sad news.

The British actor of bermudan origin appeared in 1951 as one of the first dark-skinned actors in a leading role in the film "Underworld (Pool of London)". In 1965, Cameron played alongside Sean Connery (89) in "James Bond 007 – Fireball". Cameron also appeared in a small role in 2010 in Christopher Nolan's (49) highly acclaimed mystery thriller "Inception".
