Britney Spears: The singer has these big plans

Britney Spears is celebrating her 40th birthday. It was only recently that their guardianship ended. These are their big plans in freedom.

November 12th was probably one of the happiest days in Britney Spears’ life: The US singer, who celebrates her 40th birthday on Thursday (December 2nd), was released from her guardianship. “The court finds and determines that guardianship (…) is no longer required,” said Brenda Penny, Los Angeles County judge, according to the “People” magazine. What did these words mean to Britney Spears? Freedom after 13 years.

One of the most frequently asked questions to the singer: What’s next? Britney Spears already gave an answer. In an Instagram video she said modestly, “I’m just grateful for every day.” Among other things, she is grateful for having the keys to her car, for being independent, for having a credit card and cash, and for buying candles. Those “little things” would make a “huge difference”.

But it also looks to the future. Because the singer has big plans for her newfound freedom. These include the following:

A wedding

Britney Spears wants to get married! The plans for her wedding to her fiancé Sam Asghari (27) are already under way. The two met while shooting a music video in 2016 and got engaged last September.

After the end of guardianship, Asghari declared in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight”that the two would get married “sooner or later”. He wanted “the greatest wedding in the world”. At the same time he made it clear that Spears would decide on the details, because after all “she has her pants on”.

Little is known about the exact plans – such as when the festival is to take place. Britney Spears revealed in an Instagram post but already the designer of her wedding dress: Donatella Versace (66).

Another child

Britney Spears not only wants to get married, but also wants to tackle further family planning. She already has two teenage sons from her marriage to Kevin Federline, 43. Now the 40-year-old wants another child. “I am considering having another baby,” she wrote recently on Instagram.

In June, Spears made it clear that she wanted to have children. The guardianship does not allow her to expand her family, she claimed at the time. “I want to get married and have a child. I have a spiral in me so that I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have children – no more children,” was the allegation of the singer at a court in Los Angeles at the time.

Settlement with her family – and an Oprah interview?

Britney Spears may be free, but her fight is not over. In the past few weeks and months she has spoken harshly against her family again and again. At the beginning of November, she distributed in a now no longer available Instagram post against her mother Lynne (66). “My father may have started guardianship 13 years ago. But what people don’t know is that my mother was the one who gave him the idea. I will never get those years back, she secretly ruined my life”, can be read in a screenshot from “Page Six”.

Britney Spears made it clear in court in June how broken her relationship with her family is. “He loved the control to hurt his own daughter 100,000 percent. He loved it,” she said of her father, Jamie (69), who was her guardian for years.

After the end of her guardianship, the singer threatened her family on Instagram. She expressed her joy at her freedom in a personal video in November, “but to be honest, I am still blown away every day by how my family and guardianship could do what they did to me”. She is used to keeping the peace “and keeping my mouth shut” for the sake of the family. But not this time: “I haven’t forgotten anything!”

What Britney Spears also hinted at: an interview with talk queen Oprah Winfrey (67). She wrote about the video that she wanted to “put things right with Oprah”. Should such a conversation really take place, it would have a similar impact as the interview with Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40).

Fight for other victims

In the video, Britney Spears mentioned yet another plan: “I’m not here to be a victim.” On the other hand, she wanted to be “an advocate for people with real disabilities and illnesses”. “I’m a very strong woman. I can only imagine what the system did to these people. Hopefully my story will have an impact and bring about changes in the corrupt system,” she said. What exactly she would like to get involved in, she did not reveal.

Return to music?

New music is – at least for now – probably not one of her next plans. As well as the US celebrity portal “TMZ” as well as “Page Six” recently reported, citing anonymous sources, that Spears wanted to go back to the studio. But that could take a while, because as one of the insiders is supposed to have said, music is currently and has not been “her top priority” for a while.

What is certain: Britney Spears will continue to enjoy her freedom in the future – and to the fullest. She repeatedly presents what it looks like on Instagram: dancing and laughing exuberantly.
