Will custody of Britney Spears’ sons change if their guardianship may soon be a thing of the past?

Britney Spears, 39, has been fighting for months to end the guardianship of her father, Jamie Spears, 69. At the end of September, a court suspended her father and appointed John Zabel as a provisional successor until the end of 2021, as US media consistently reported. And soon guardianship could be history. Could this then also affect custody of Spears’ children?

Two sons with ex-husband

The singer has two sons, Sean Preston (16) and Jayden James (15), with her ex-husband Kevin Federline (43). According to US reports from 2019, in the past, Federline had the children about 70 percent of the time, and Spears saw them the remaining 30 percent of the time. Whether after another hearing in November, where the guardianship could possibly be finally ended, something will change, but is obviously questionable.

The lawyer Federlines explains the US celebrity portal “TMZ” nowthat the regulation with regard to the children is likely to remain in place. Since allegedly none of the parties involved should have problems with the current situation, neither side apparently wants to change anything in the agreement. As “TMZ” reports, Spears meets with her sons when they and the children want it.

Spears and Federline were married between 2004 and 2007. In 2016 she met Sam Asghari (27). The two have been in a relationship for around four years. They only got engaged in mid-September, as they confirmed.
