Britney Spears has been battling her father’s guardianship for some time. She demands an immediate discharge.

Britney Spears, 39, was incapacitated in 2008 and her father, Jamie Spears, 69, was appointed as her guardian. For some time now, the singer has been fighting against this guardianship. Your new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has now filed a motion to dismiss Jamie Spears with immediate effect and instead to temporarily appoint auditor Jason Rubin as soon as possible, as reported by the US magazine “People”.

Spears’ election of a new lawyer was approved in mid-July. Shortly thereafter, Rosengart officially submitted an application to replace the singer’s father as financial guardian. “Although a two-month waiting period for a hearing in the application may not seem meaningful in the context of 13 years, Ms. Spears should not be forced to continue feeling traumatized, unable to sleep, and suffering,” it says in Documents available to the magazine. “Every day counts.”

An end to your father’s “rule”?

For various reasons, “the time has come for Mr. Spears’ reign to come to an end”. The documents also claim that Britney Spears is asking to release her father as guardian “as soon as the court allows” – if possible on August 23rd. Another hearing is currently not planned until September 29th.

An insider familiar with the matter is said to have told the magazine that the singer is planning to let Rubin review all issues of the past few years. Spears is determined to “find out if their funds have been misused,” explains the source.
