Why did Brittany Murphy's rising Hollywood star come to an abrupt end on December 20, 2009? The life and the mysterious death of the "Clueless" star at just 32 years old wants to shed light on a two-part documentary that HBO is currently working on, according to "People".
Murphy had collapsed in her bathroom around eleven years ago and died after showing flu-like symptoms for several days. Her death was declared a heart failure by the competent authorities, later classified as an accident as a result of incorrect self-medication, and the case was closed by the police.
But around five months later, her widower, Simon Monjack, also died under conspicuously similar circumstances. After that, Murphy's father in particular expressed doubts about the official explanation for the circumstances of death and suspected his ex-wife to have something to do with the deaths of the two. As for the planned documentary, it says: "The series will go beyond the conspiracy theories and headlines and include new interviews with people who were close to Brittany."
