Brittanya Karma was only 29. The death of the YouTube star should finally ensure that the corona virus is taken seriously, her fans demand.

A photo from the hospital bed. A breathing mask on her mouth, the left hand shaped into a victory sign. It is the last picture of YouTuber and rapper Brittanya Karma that was posted on her Instagram account – the 29-year-old is no longer alive and has lost her week-long fight against the corona virus. The grief of more than 250,000 followers knows no bounds since it was announced through Karma's family and friends that the woman from Hamburg died at the end of November.

"She put a smile on my face even on the worst days. People, please wear your masks," said the comment section of the hospital picture posted on November 20th. The ability of the German-Vietnamese woman to make people laugh is emphasized again and again. Just like the urgent appeal to finally take the corona risk seriously.

Because that was tragically one of the last wishes Brittanya Karma uttered before her death: "I had so much pain. Corona should be taken much more seriously. Please take care of yourself," she wrote about another picture of herself from 17. November out of the sickbed.
