Nicola Peltz Beckham wants to be barred from further trials
In new court documents filed on Thursday, March 9, 2023, according to People, Nicola and her mother, Claudia Peltz, are petitioning to be waived from further court proceedings following allegations of “malicious and mean”.
Background: Father of the bride Nelson Peltz, 80, originally filed a lawsuit in December 2022 against Nicolas and Brooklyn’s wedding planners Arianna Grijalba and Nicole Braghin and their company Plan Design Events to get back the $159,000 down payment. which he had previously done. The two women were released from their job after about a week, and a new planner was hired.
Counterclaim revealed spicy details and chat history
Grijalba and Braghin responded promptly with a counterclaim alleging breach of contract. In the course of this, chat histories between the planners and Nicola and her mother were published. Spicy details came to light that later overshadowed the big wedding party. The court documents name Nicola and Claudia as third parties. A circumstance that Nelson Peltz wants to avert as soon as possible.
In recent documents, he and his attorneys, Michael N. Kreitzer and James J. Diamond, state that Claudia and Nicola were not involved in the original contract between Nelson and Plan Design Events and therefore should not be included in the lawsuit. “PDE [Plan Design Events] “Aware that her allegation is unfounded and is shamefully attempting to portray Nicola in an extremely negative light in order to lure the media and hopefully pressure Mr Peltz to withdraw his well-founded claims against PDE,” reads the court documents from Peltz’s legal team, “While this was tailored for the tabloids, it couldn’t be further from the truth.”
Did Claudia Peltz hide expenses from her husband?
In their counterclaim, which the planners filed in Miami in February, they claimed, among other things, that Claudia Peltz wanted to hide the amount of the expenses from her husband and asked Braghin and Grijalba to keep the secret. “Nelson Peltz is believed to have paid more than $100,000 plus travel expenses for Nicolas’ hair and makeup for the wedding,” the counterclaim said. “Claudia mentioned opposite [einer der Planerinnen]that Nelson must not know the cost of the hair and makeup or he would ‘kill her and be so angry’.”

Additionally, the two planners claim, “Both Claudia and Nicola were adamant that Victoria Beckham (Brooklyn’s mother) should not know of any internal errors in planning her son’s wedding, including guest list errors.” The Peltz family kept making changes to the guest list, which made it difficult for them to keep track.
A total of three agencies commissioned Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham to plan their wedding. The first wedding planner, Preston Bailey, had resigned from the assignment because of “overwork”, as he himself confirmed to “Page Six”. After firing Plan Design Events, which Nelson Peltz’s initial lawsuit said had “failed to provide services of value,” Michelle Rago was hired to complete preparations for the three-day luxury wedding.
