Brooklyn Beckham now officially bears his new name “Brooklyn Joseph Peltz Beckham”, but his parents of all people don’t seem to want to completely accept this name change yet.

Last weekend, Brooklyn Beckham, 23, celebrated his wedding to Nicola Peltz, 27, – the daughter of business mogul Nelson Peltz, 79. It started with a cocktail party on Friday (April 8, 2022). The actual celebration, including a romantic ceremony, took place on the following Saturday on a 4000 square meter property in Palm Beach. As usual, the three-day wedding party ended with a Sunday brunch.

Brooklyn Beckham takes his wife’s last name

Only now does Brooklyn’s latest tattoo become apparent: It’s Nicola’s last name “Peltz”, which the photographer had tattooed as lettering. In February, Nicola posted a photo of the subject and captioned it, “I’m so happy you’re a Peltz.” At that time it was not yet known that Brooklyn would take her name and that both of them would carry the double name “Peltz Beckham” from now on. But now the 23-year-old has even changed his name on Instagram, where he can now be found under “Brooklyn Peltz Beckham”.

But while Brooklyn is proudly peddling his new name, it seems like two people who have been particularly important to him haven’t fully embraced the name change: his parents David, 46, and Victoria Beckham, 47.

Victoria and David Beckham congratulate their son on their wedding

Victoria posted a wedding photo of the newlyweds with the caption, “Congratulations Mr and Mrs Beckham X Welcome to the family,” which David followed a few hours later and also congratulated his son by referring to him and his daughter-in-law as “Mr & Mrs Beckham”.

an accident? Or a hint that David and Victoria are reluctant to come to terms with their eldest’s name change? Nicola and Brooklyn call themselves “Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham” in their first Instagram posts after the wedding, showing their parents and in-laws how it’s done. But Nicola didn’t seem to see the not quite correct naming of Victoria and David so closely, at least for the moment. She simply thanked both profiles for the congratulations.
