“She-Hulk” – human or machine?
As a reminder, as revealed in Avengers: Endgame, Banner has permanently transformed into the Hulk, albeit with the spirit of his human counterpart. As such, he flicks the second Infinity Gauntlet, retrieving all living beings wiped out by Thanos. Banner’s next appearance was in the post-credits scene of Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings. But what was going on? Bruce Banner suddenly appeared in his human form. There was nothing left of the green giant. Did Banner transform back into his lab?
And now the “She-Hulk” trailer. Banner already plays a big part in it, but it’s seen in the Professor Hulk form from Endgame. Now how is that possible? Either “Shang-Chi” just plays before “She-Hulk”, in the Disney+ series he somehow regains his human form. Or Banner can use its machines to switch back and forth between the two forms. There are many other explanations on the Internet, but none of them are really satisfactory.
Time and cost may also simply play a role. Maybe the post-credits scene was shot very late and you didn’t have the budget or the money to turn Mark Ruffalo into the Green Hulk. Whatever the answer, hopefully “She-Hulk” provides one at all. In any case, numerous fans have already gotten really excited about the trailer. You can see him above.
