All planned performances in 2023 have been canceled: Bruce Springsteen is suffering from stomach ulcers and has to interrupt his tour.

The American rock star Bruce Springsteen (74) has had to cancel all upcoming concerts for the current year for health reasons. The musician announced this on his official Instagram profile, among other things. His remaining 14 concerts in Canada and the United States of America have been postponed until next year and will all be rescheduled for 2024. On the advice of his doctors, this was unavoidable as a precautionary measure. Springsteen is suffering from stomach ulcers, which he now needs to have treated.

The exact dates for the catch-up concerts will be announced next week, but they will all take place at the locations already planned, the statement continues. “I would like to thank all my friends and fans for their good wishes, encouragement and support,” says Springsteen about the cancellations. He is already on the mend and can’t wait to see everyone again next year. At the beginning of September, Springsteen announced that he would not be able to attend his September dates due to his illness.

The last concert so far took place at the beginning of September

The Oscar and multiple Grammy award winner is currently on an extensive tour with his E Street Band. Springsteen had his last performance to date on September 3rd at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Springsteen stayed in Europe until the end of July, playing in Munich, Hamburg and Vienna, among other places.

Springsteen is considered one of the most successful rock musicians in history worldwide and has enjoyed legendary status for decades, especially in his home country of the USA. To date, “The Boss” has released 21 studio albums and has sold more than 70 million of his albums in the USA alone. His live performances are considered legendary among fans, also because they last significantly longer, up to four hours, compared to most other musicians or bands in the rock business.
