Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica is a professional equestrian. Now she has even qualified for the Olympics for the first time.

Music legend Bruce Springsteen (71) can be very proud. His daughter Jessica Springsteen (29) qualified for the Tokyo Olympics this summer, as announced by the US Equestrian Federation. The 29-year-old has been riding for years and competes as a show jumper for the USA. She will fight for a medal with four other athletes.

Even as a small child, the sportswoman was enthusiastic about horses. The American grew up on a ranch and started taking riding lessons when she was only five years old. The trained psychologist quickly celebrated her first successes and became one of the best show jumpers in the USA, according to the US Equestrian Federation.

Springsteen’s riding team includes Laura Kraut (55), Kent Farrington (40) and McLain Ward (45). The horse with which the 29-year-old wants to win a medal for the USA is called Don Juan van de Donkhoeve. Most recently, the Americans won gold in show jumping in 2004 and 2008. After the 2020 Olympic Games had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic, they will now take place in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8.
