None other than “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White is reportedly set to portray rock legend Bruce Springsteen in a biopic.

Could Jeremy Allen White, 33, soon swap the kitchen for the big stage? As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the American actor, who is currently filming the third and fourth seasons of The Bear, is the hot favorite to play The Boss in the planned biopic about the rock singer and musicians Bruce Springsteen, 74, and his 1982 solo album “Nebraska”.

The film is about the creation of his sixth studio album and is tentatively titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere”. The name is based on the book of the same name by Warren Zane, 59, from 2023. In addition to the former Netflix film boss Scott Stuber, 55, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, 61, and Eric Robinson from the Gotham Group. The film production company A24 is also said to be under discussion as a potential production partner. As “Entertainment” further reports, “Crazy Heart” producer Scott Cooper, 53, is said to be in talks to write the script and direct. The film director would receive support from “The Boss” himself and his manager Jon Landau, 63, who are also said to be involved in the production.

Why the sixth studio album?

“Nebraska” is considered one of Springsteen’s best works. The acoustic album, which the rock legend recorded without the accompaniment of his E Street Band, was recorded on January 3, 1982 in the musician’s bedroom on a simple four-track tape recorder. The rock legend and the E Street Band are currently resuming their world tour after Springsteen had to cancel planned concerts last fall due to his health.
