Bruce Willis can count on the love of his family. This is shown by the first pictures of the star since the public aphasia diagnosis.

Emma Heming-Willis (43), since 2009 the wife of Bruce Willis (67), posted joint pictures on their official Instagram account. It’s the star’s first new recording since his family revealed he was giving up acting due to aphasia. “Mom and dad in their favorite habitat,” says the caption. “Offthegrid” was set as the hashtag, i.e. “submerged”.

The two heartfelt photos of Bruce and Emma, which were taken in nature, were apparently taken by their daughter Mabel Ray Willis (10). They show how much strength Willis gets from his loved ones. In the first photo, the couple looks deep into each other’s eyes, in the second picture she has her head resting on her husband’s shoulder while he smiles at the camera. Heming-Willis provided further impressions of the family excursion into nature, also as a video in her Instagram story.

Forced to retire

At the end of March, Bruce Willis’ family announced that the actor was retiring with immediate effect. The former action star was diagnosed with aphasia.

Aphasia is a speech disorder caused by damage to the brain. Those affected may have problems speaking and understanding language, including reading and writing. “As a result, and after careful consideration, Bruce is stepping down from a career that has meant so much to him,” the family said in a statement at the end of March.
