A year after the announcement of his retirement because suffering from aphasia, the state of health of Bruce Willis has worsened. The ‘Die Hard’ star now has dementia, his family has revealed.

And announced that the star of Crystal Trap and Sixth Sense was ending his career, suffering from aphasia, a language disorder ranging from difficulty finding his words to a total loss of the ability to express himself.
A statement that pushed the public and the media to revise their judgment on the latest films of the actor, certainly unsavory but made to earn as much money as possible and put his family in the shelter before he is no longer able to turn. And the Razzies even went so far as to take away the trophy that had been given to him, shortly before, for Cosmic Sin.
Less than a year later, the family of Bruce Willis spoke again to announce a worsening of the state of health of the actor, now suffering from frontotemporal dementia: “Since we announced that Bruce had aphasia in the spring of 2022, his disease has evolved and we now have a more precise diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia”can we read in the press release published online, on the website of the Association for the Fight against Fronto-Temporal Degeneration.
“Unfortunately, the communication problems are just one of the symptoms of the disease that Bruce has to deal with. Although it is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.” Usually detected earlier than other forms of the disease, frontotemporal dementia can be characterized by personality changes, as well as verbal and motor disturbances.
According to the Mayo Clinic, an American university hospital and research federation, it is the cause of 10 to 20% of dementia diagnoses. While Detective Knight: Independence has just been released in the United States, Bruce Willis is expected to star in Assassin, which will be his last feature film and whose American release is scheduled for March 31. That is exactly one year after the announcement of his illness and his retirement.
