Bruno Mars’ sold-out Tel Aviv concert on Saturday did not take place. The gig was canceled because of the fighting in Israel.

Bruno Mars (38) was unable to play his planned gig at HaYarkon Park in Tel Aviv, Israel, yesterday, Saturday (October 7th). The sold-out concert was canceled at short notice after the radical Islamic terrorist organization Hamas launched a surprise major attack on Israel. He has that Organizer Live Nation Israel announced on Instagram.

“All buyers will receive an automatic refund,” the post said. The organizer also wrote: “In these difficult moments, we stand with the residents of Israel, the IDF fighters and the security forces.” Bruno Mars has not yet commented on the short-term cancellation of the concert. The singer performed in Israel for the first time last Wednesday. In HaYarkon Park, where several concerts with the American musician were planned, he played in front of 60,000 people.

Israel is “at war”

According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (73), Israel is “at war.” The politician said this in a video message on X (formerly Twitter). The terrorist organization Hamas surprisingly began firing several thousand rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip on Saturday morning (October 7th). There are said to be dozens of dead and injured. Rocket alarms were also heard in Tel Aviv.

The Israeli military and air force are currently trying to defend the country and its citizens with all “necessary measures”, the Embassy of Israel announced via X.

Several countries are already showing solidarity with Israel, including Germany. Both Chancellor Olaf Scholz (65) and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (42) condemn the terrorist attacks “from Gaza against Israel in the strongest possible terms”.
