Chemical craving
Certain foods that are produced without a lot of protein, water and fiber content, at most, mean a rapid rise in blood sugar and thus a higher potential for addiction. Foods that can cause chemical craving include (milk) chocolate, ice cream, french fries, pizza, cookies, chips, cakes, popcorn, cheeseburgers and muffins. These foods are industrially produced, heavily processed and, due to their ingredients, such as “dirty drugs”, influence our brain and “do things to us that we do not want”.
