According to his own statement, Bryce Dallas Howard was asked by the studio to lose weight before ‘Jurassic World: A New Age’.

Hollywood star Bryce Dallas Howard (41) starred in all three “Jurassic World” films alongside Chris Pratt (43) between 2015 and 2022. Especially in the recently released part “Jurassic World: A New Age”, the actress, who is also successful as a director, completed a number of her stunts herself. As Howard now revealed to “Metro”.she was asked by unnamed studio managers during the production of the film to lose weight for the shooting.

Director Colin Trevorrow stood by his leading lady

“I’ve been asked not to use my natural body in the movies,” Howard said. Such conversations and “concerns” from studio managers would also have drawn through the entire production of the “Jurassic World” film series. Fortunately, director Colin Trevorrow (46) defended his female star against the studio’s demands to lose weight.

The director of the first and third “Jurassic World” films said: “There are many different types of women on this planet and in our film there are many different types of women”. Actress Howard also admits she couldn’t have pulled off her numerous stunts in ‘A New Era’ if she’d been on a diet. Howard said her body was at “maximum strength” during filming.

After “Top Gun: Maverick” with Tom Cruise (60), “Jurassic World: A New Age” has become the second most successful film of the year so far – in terms of net box office results. An incredible box office result of around one billion US dollars was achieved worldwide. The US trade journal “Hollywood Reporter” asked the “Jurassic World” series producing film studio Universal for a comment on Howard’s statements. The request has so far remained unanswered.
