(CercleFinance.com) – BT reports that Etc., BT Group’s digital unit incubation team, has reached a £5 million deal with Altitude Angel, a global leader in UTM technology ( Unified Traffic Management).
UTM is a software platform and the infrastructure needed to allow drones to fly safely, unmanned, over great distances.
The £5 million deal will accelerate Altitude Angel’s deployment of its transformative ARROW technology, which detects and identifies drones, while enabling drones to safely share airspace with the aviation industry.
‘The deal is a critical stepping stone for Altitude Angel to evolve its technology to enable long-range drone flights, supporting the potential for faster delivery of essential and non-essential items and unlocking an industry estimated at 45 billion pounds by 2030,” BT points out.
