The South Korean boy band BTS is very popular and is now appearing in an "MTV Unplugged".

The international superstars of the South Korean boy group BTS ("Dynamite") are getting their own "MTV Unplugged" – and that very soon. As the broadcaster has announced, the format will be broadcast in the USA on February 23. Shortly afterwards, the latest part of the concert series will be shown around the world, as the industry journal "Variety" reports.

On twitter MTV already gives a brief insight. "Listen to their hits like you've never heard them before," promises a 15-second preview clip. With their appearance, BTS join a ranks of well-known international artists who have performed in the series since 1989. "MTV Unplugged" has featured among others Eric Clapton (75), Annie Lennox (66), Phil Collins (70), Alicia Keys (40), Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Roxette.

Despite the corona pandemic, BTS have had extremely successful months. Among other things, they were the big winners of the MTV Europe Music Awards 2020 and managed to generate more than 100 million clicks with their music video for "Dynamite" on YouTube within 24 hours of its publication in August.
