BTS chase one record after another. Her new single “Butter” hits incredible numbers on streaming services.

Now it’s official: BTS have once again broken several records with their new single “Butter”! That confirmed YouTube now on his official blog. 3.9 million people watched the premiere of their new music video. The seven boys from South Korea broke their own record.

In August 2020 RM (26), Jin (28), Suga (28), J-Hope (27), Jimin (25), V (25) and Jungkook (23) released their first English-language single “Dynamite”. At that time, around three million people watched the premiere. But that’s not all: They also broke the record for the most views in 24 hours again. A total of 108.2 million people watched the clip in one day – “Dynamite” held the record here too (101.1 million).

Spotify record holders were Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran

And the streaming of fans also paid off on Spotify: “Butter” was able to achieve 20.9 million unfiltered streams worldwide in the first 24 hours after its release – more than any song before. According to “Variety” the filtered streams would be to 11.042 million and thus push the previous record holder “I Don’t Care” (10.997 million streams) from Justin Bieber (27) and Ed Sheeran (30) from the throne.

On Monday, BTS were also able to win at the Billboard Music Awards. The K-Pop group won in all four categories in which it was nominated (“Best Duo / Group”, “Best Social Artist”, “Top Song Sales Artist” and “Top Selling Song”).
