Bubble Braids: This is the summer hairstyle trend!

Not in the mood for elaborate braided hairstyles? Neither do we – this summer we're conjuring up bubble braids! Hardly more elaborate than a normal ponytail, the trend hairstyle can easily keep up with elaborate looks. We show how it's done!

Summertime is festival time … actually. If Corona hadn't thwarted our plans, we would now dance our hearts out at cool open-air events. If that doesn't work, we want to create a festival feeling at least in terms of styling. Instagram provides us with the inspiration we need with the Bubble Braids hairstyle trend.

This is how the braid update works

When things have to go fast, a loosely tied ponytail is our all-time favorite. Because let's be honest: Who has the desire and time to devote themselves to elaborate braided hairstyles in the morning? We'd rather invest the valuable minutes in a hearty breakfast. But good news: You don't need much longer for the hairstyle of the hour than for a messy bun or braid. That's how it's done:

  1. First, tie a normal ponytail as usual. Whether low in the neck or set high is entirely up to your taste.
  2. Use small hair ties to divide your braid into equal sections.
  3. Now pluck the individual spaces apart with your fingers, so that small balls – i.e. bubbles – are created.
  4. Tip: If you have very fine, straight hair, you can use volume powder or dry spray to provide more grip in advance.
  5. Last but not least: fix everything with hairspray.

Voila – the look is ready! We bet you won't need more than five minutes for the ultimate summer look! With a little practice you can vary the hairstyle trend Bubble Braids to your heart's content. How about, for example, two braids instead of just one? Or bubble braids in the half-up version?

Have you had enough inspiration? Then off in front of the mirror! In any case, we are already fans and will definitely not only wear bubble braids in summer – because the look is not only super easy to style, it also gives thin hair more volume and makes it appear thicker. Do you really need more arguments?
