After “Poor Things”, Oscar winner Emma Stone will be in front of the camera for the fourth time for filmmaker Giorgos Lanthimos.

Only on Friday evening (May 17th) “Kinds of Kindness”, the latest collaboration between Oscar winner Emma Stone (35) and filmmaker Giorgos Lanthimos (50), celebrated its premiere in Cannes. Now reports, among other things The US industry magazine “Variety” says that Stone will be in front of the camera again for the Greek director after the aforementioned Cannes entry, “Poor Things” and “The Favorite” from 2018, which won a total of four Oscars. The title of the fourth collaboration between the two is: “Bugonia”.

In Lanthimos’ latest work, two young men who believe in conspiracy narratives kidnap the CEO of a major corporation because they are convinced that the woman is actually an alien planning to destroy the Earth.

In addition to “La La Land” star Stone, Jesse Plemmons (36), who also appeared in “Kinds of Kindness”, will also be part of the cast of “Bugonia”. The screenplay is by Will Tracy, who previously wrote the script for “The Menu” and also wrote for the hit HBO series “Succession.” “Bugonia” is a remake of the South Korean film “Save the Green Planet!” from 2003.

“Kinds of Kindness” opens in German cinemas on July 4th. The drama premiered yesterday Friday at the Cannes Film Festival according to a report by the industry portal “Deadline” six-minute standing ovation.
