The tax site was complicated to use this week due to bugs preventing several independent professions from making their declaration. The administration therefore decided to give them additional time.
Spring is the return of the sun, and also unfortunately, taxes. A particularly trying moment not only for certain people, but also for the platform which hosts online declarations, particularly at the time of the deadlines. This was the case this week, with the inhabitants of departments numbered 1 (Ain) to 19 (Corrèze) who had to have completed their declaration before May 23. However, the platform was unable to record the declarations of several independent professions, pushing the authorities to be more flexible.
A bug that made declaration impossible
Many independent professionals were unable to correctly complete their tax returns this week. Whether they are subject to the industrial and commercial profits (BIC), agricultural profits (BA) or non-commercial profits (BNC) regime, the site started to block.
More precisely, tens of thousands of doctors, farmers and other artisans were able to go to the page where they had to check the correct entry to indicate the nature of their income, before seeing the process blocked. Enough to give you some understandable cold sweats!
The new deadline set for May 30
Obviously, the General Directorate of Finance was quickly informed by taxpayers and the National Order of Chartered Accountants. And although the administration was able to quickly begin to work to resolve the problem, the return to normal could only be announced on Friday, May 24 in the morning.
Having been unable to declare on time, due to an administrative problem, the taxpayers in question were granted additional time. “ Users from departments 1 to 19 and non-residents who have experienced difficulty declaring their professional income such as non-commercial profits (BNC) and industrial and commercial profits (BIC) benefit from an additional period until May 30 to make their tax return » was thus communicated.
