No time on election day, but too late for the postal vote? There is a way to get the postal ballot papers after all.

Those who cannot or do not want to wait until election Sunday to cast their vote are happy to use postal voting. This means that the ballot paper and voting slip are delivered to your own mailbox, can be filled out and sent by post.

In order for all votes to be counted in good time, the ballot letter must arrive at the address given on the ballot envelope by 6:00 p.m. on September 26, 2021 at the latest. If the letter arrives at the responsible office after 6 p.m., the vote is invalid.

The voter must therefore plan the two postal routes from applying for the election documents to sending the election letter. The letter should be sent by Thursday, September 23 at the latest. Alternatively, the election letter can also be brought to the responsible office in person. The address is on the ballot letter. But the same applies here: before 6 p.m.

Possible until the Friday before the election

But there is also the option of voting before election Sunday without having to run the risk of the letter not arriving on time. After the application, the election documents can be picked up from the competent authority of the local authority. The last time to apply for the postal voting documents to collect them yourself is September 24th at 6 p.m.

The option to vote when you pick up the vehicle is also extremely practical.
