The Head of State also made replacements at the head of the military hierarchy, a change desired by soldiers during the January 24 mutiny which culminated in the coup against former President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré . the “Colonel-Major David Kabré of the National Armed Forces is appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces”. This former Minister of Sports replaces General Gilbert Ouedraogo, who will have spent less than four months in this position. Colonel Adam Neré is appointed Chief of Staff of the Army, while Lieutenant-Colonel Evrard Somda is brought to the head of the National Gendarmerie.
