Tesla boss Elon Musk lives up to his name. According to his own statements, the versatile entrepreneur sold 10,000 copies of his new perfume “Burnt Hair” in just a few hours, earning a million dollars. The “Essence of Repulsive Desire” will be delivered in 2023.
Tesla boss Elon Musk is once again causing a sensation with his latest plans to launch a perfume called “Burnt Hair”. On the website of his company Boring Company, the richest man in the world offers the red perfume bottle for around 100 euros under “Essence of repulsive desire”. It is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2023.
Musk said he sold 10,000 perfumes in a matter of hours and made $1 million. “With a name like mine, getting into the perfume business was inevitable – Why did I fight it for so long anyway!?” Musk asked on Twitter, where he now describes himself as a perfume salesman. The English word Musk is translated into German as musk.
His Boring Company, a $5.7 billion tunneling and infrastructure company, sold flamethrowers for $500 apiece in early 2018, raising $10 million. The entrepreneur also sold 50,000 Boring Company hats.
Musk’s ambitions over the years have ranged from colonizing Mars to creating a new sustainable energy economy, and in the process he’s built Tesla, the rocket company SpaceX, and smaller companies. Musk then announced in April that he wanted to acquire Twitter for $44 billion. In July, referring to alleged false statements by Twitter about the number of bogus accounts on the platform, he then declared that he would not complete the purchase. Musk and Twitter sued each other. A few days ago, Musk did a U-turn and said he intends to go through with the deal as agreed on April 25.
