For the time being, nothing will happen with the increase in the salary class for local boss Bernd Strobl (ÖVP) in his function as a bailiff.
As reported, the mayor originally wanted the old municipal council to decide on Wednesday – one hour before the inaugural meeting of the new body. An appointment in the previous week had burst because the SPÖ did not appear. On Tuesday evening, Strobl canceled the meeting with the old cast. According to the state’s municipal department, the mayor was no longer entitled to convene the former municipal council because he had already been sworn in as mayor for the new period. “There are also other legal views on this,” said Strobl. However, he does not want to start a legal dispute because of this. The inaugural meeting of the new body is scheduled for Wednesday evening. Strobl wants to address the topic of raising the salary class in one of the next meetings.
