A transporter with radioactive material on board crashed on the Westautobahn near Allhaming on Wednesday morning. The driver was injured. The three loaded barrels were moved in the hold, but no radiation escaped.
The 25-year-old driver from Vienna had hit a truck driving in front of him for an unknown reason. He was hospitalized by the Red Cross. The front of his vehicle was badly damaged. According to the police, the radioactive charge was properly secured. It was not known exactly what the dangerous goods of class 7 (UN 2915, F 18) were.
