While the purchase of second-hand school supplies already exists, a new offer is attracting more and more students: the purchase of used household appliances.
In Rennes, the company Envie Rennes has embarked on this business. In total, 125 employees in professional integration repair washing machines, microwaves and refrigerators every day, most of them removed from waste reception centers or collection points. Asked by TF1, Mélanie, a law student, explains that she chose a used washing machine to save money on furnishing her very first home. For 165 euros, half the price in the store, the young woman benefits from the delivery and installation of her machine in addition to a one-year warranty. Each month, the company Envie Rennes gives a second life to 500 household appliances intended to be destroyed. And good news, the company has several depots throughout France.
Equip yourself inexpensively, the student motto
All over France, different initiatives of this kind exist. Secours Populaire is already helping the most vulnerable by providing them with food, school supplies and furniture every year.
