Astronaut legend marries on his 93rd birthday

Legendary NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin has married for the fourth time. On his 93rd birthday, the ceremony took place in Los Angeles.
The legendary US astronaut Buzz Aldrin married his girlfriend Anca Faur (63) on his 93rd birthday. He announced this himself via Twitter and posted a picture of herself and the bride. The NASA icon wrote: “On my 93rd birthday […] I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur and I tied the knot.” They were married in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles. “We’re as upset as runaway teenagers,” Aldrin continues.
Aldrin has been married three times in his life. In 1954 he married Joan Archer and they had three children. In 1974 the two divorced. In 1975 he married Beverly Van Zile, but they divorced three years later. In the 1980s, he married his third wife, Lois Driggs Cannon, and they had been married for 24 years.
On the moon for 19 minutes with Neil Armstrong
Aldrin was the second person to set foot on the moon after Neil Armstrong (1930-2012) and undertook a total of three spacewalks in his career. He served as the Lunar Module Eagle pilot on the historic Apollo 11 mission in 1969. He spent 19 minutes on the lunar surface with Armstrong. He is the only surviving astronaut from this mission. He retired in 1971.
