Leather shirts and leather blazers were really trendy in 2021. The robust material has now been given a new design, but when it comes to coolness it is in no way inferior to its predecessors – see for yourself!

Leather looks, especially in the vegan faux leather form, have been seen everywhere since 2021. While last year blazers, culottes or shirts were mainly made from the matt, shiny material, in 2022 it’s coats that fashionistas wear up and down. Three models in particular stand out. We have put together for you what they are and how best to style them.

Black Matrix Leather Coat

Shortly before the turn of the year, the fourth part of the Matrix series came to the cinemas. Already the first film had fashionably shaped an entire generation. A small style revival can also be noticed after Matrix Resurrections. Black, almost floor-length coats with a straight cut can be seen both in Paris for Haute Couture Week and in Copenhagen for Fashion Week. Trend-conscious women give their style an edgy, almost futuristic touch with the robust trendy material. However, you should pay attention to one thing: The coat should remain the highlight piece of the look, so restraint applies to pants and top. When it comes to accessories, sporty eyewear designs or metallic elements are recommended.

Cool, cool, leather trench coat

One model that we are particularly happy about is the leather-look trench coat. The coat is usually worn in midi length and suits every body shape. Why? Quite simply: Short people often have to pay attention to the length of coats, which is why knee-length trench coats are ideal. Another plus point is the waist belt, which conjures up a slim waistline. The former military coat can be styled both casually and elegantly because it is so wonderfully versatile. If you prefer the boho style, you should use a light brown model.

The main thing is cuddly soft

Unfortunately, the temperatures are still icy, which is why our outdoor clothing should not be without warming elements. Model Elsa Hosk swears by a suede model lined with fur this winter. We already know similar designs with long fake fur inserts on the collar and on the arms from the 1968s. True to the motto: “Wild and free” we bring some swing into the winter wardrobe with the fluffy leather coats. Flare denim pants can be combined with this, but long dresses or wide trousers also go well.
