2024 - C to you: discomfort on set after a precision from Patrick Cohen, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine very embarrassed

At the controls of a new number of C à vous on Monday October 3, 2022 on France 5, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine experienced great discomfort live following a reflection by Patrick Cohen in the face of journalist Hélène Devynck.

Former emblematic face of Canal+ broadcasts, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine has joined the ranks of France Télévisions to become one of Anne-Sophie Lapix’s columnists for the daily program C à vous, broadcast live on France 5. After spending several years alongside the journalist, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine was promoted to lead animator of France 5’s flagship program in 2017. Indeed, that year, the management of France Télévisions had decided to dismiss David Pujadas from his position as presenter of the 8 p.m. news on France 2. Party on LCI, the journalist was replaced by Anne-Sophie Lapixwhich had already tried to exercise on the antenna of TF1.

Therefore, the position of presenter of C à vous was found vacant, and the show’s producers have set their sights on Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine to become the new incarnation of the prime time access talk show. Since Monday August 29, 2022, the presenter has returned to a brand new season at the helm of C à vous every evening on France 5. As every year, the host is accompanied by her team of columnists, made up of Patrick Cohen, Mohamed Bouhafsi, Matthieu Belliard, Pierre Lescure, Emilie Tran Nguyen and Bertrand Chameroy. The latter were once again all gathered on set Monday October 3, 2022, from 7 p.m. on France 5.

That day, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine notably received the journalist Hélène Devynck, who accuses Patrick Poivre d’Arvor of rape. During her time on the show, she was asked to react to the latest revelations concerning the Julien Bayou affair. That’s when the former PPDA assistant did a parallel between the former star presenter of TF1’s 8 p.m. news and the former secretary of the Europe-ecology-Les Verts political party. A comparison that made Patrick Cohen jump. The columnist wanted to recall that Julien Bayou was not accused of rape unlike PPDA, which caused great discomfort on set between Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine and him. After a few short moments of hesitation, the show was able to resume its course.
