Cabasse tends towards the target level of 10% EBITDA margin in 2022 – 04/20/2022 at 18:24

(AOF) – Cabasse fell into the red in 2021, 2020 having benefited from the net proceeds from the disposal of the connected lighting retail activities. Last year, the smart home specialist suffered a net loss of 1.6 million euros, against a profit of 0.2 million in 2020. LEbitda jumped 70% to 1.2 million euros in 2021. The Ebitda margin showed a strong improvement, at 3.8% over the financial year against 2.3% a year earlier. Cabasse Group’s turnover amounted to 30.5 million euros, up 9% on a like-for-like basis.

The group has set itself the objectives for 2022 of sustained growth for its Cabasse Audio division, driven by the extension of The Pearl range, and the return to dynamic activity of the Chacon & DIO Home division.

Cabasse Group maintains its ambition to move towards the target level of 10% EBITDA margin by 2022, an objective however conditioned by the speed of the gradual return to normative levels of freight transport costs over the course of the financial year, scenario engaged today.

The Middle East ESC

Still relatively unknown compared to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Gitex (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) in Dubai has existed since 1981 and attracts around 100,000 visitors a year. Even if it wants to compete with the CES in Las Vegas, and the region is a very tech-savvy market, the Gitex remains, despite its internationalization, still a regional hub for technology. The CES makes it possible to cover the United States, North America and Europe at the same time, while the Gitex rather covers the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. In 2021 this event took place at the same time as the World Expo in Dubai. France was the second most represented country, behind Italy.
