Cafom: half-year turnover up, but results down

(CercleFinance.com) – Despite rising turnover, Cafom reported lower half-year results on Monday, mainly under the impact of persistent inflationary pressures at the time.

The furniture and household equipment specialist indicates that at 208.9 million euros, its turnover for the first half, ending at the end of March, grew by 3.4% compared to the previous year.

But in order to cushion the impact of inflationary pressures for consumers and help fight against the high cost of living, the group explains that it deliberately decided not to pass on all the price increases.

As a result, its current operating profit fell to 9.8 over the half-year, against 13.6 million a year earlier, for a net profit of 7.1 million euros, against 11.1 million euros l ‘last year.

Cafom operates, among others, the brands But, Darty, Habitat, Nature & Découvertes and Musique et Son in Overseas France.
