It is during the Summer Game Fest Live 2024 that The Game Bakers presented Cairn, which will take us on a crazy climb alongsideAavaa professional mountaineer.
Cairn is a realistic climbing experience, with a natural and intuitive climbing simulation, which lets the player place their feet and hands freely on the wall. Climbers are free to explore the mountain, and analyze the walls to choose their route. Climbing is difficult, and requires resolving delicate situations, while managing equipment and pitons. To survive the harsh high-altitude environment, climbers must manage their resources and health, bivouac and find water or food.
To compose the soundtrack of Cairn, The Game Bakers called on Martin Stig Andersen (Limbo, Inside, Control) and Lukas Julian Lentz (cocoon), while the artistic direction was carried out by comic book author Mathieu Bablet (Carbon & Silicon, Shangri-La). Billed as the conclusion to the Freedom of Freedom trilogy The Game Bakers, Cairn is expected in 2025 on PC and consoleswithout further details at the moment.
