The heavy thunderstorms in the southern Graubünden valley of Misox last Friday caused damage amounting to 38 million francs.
This was announced by the municipality of Lostallo GR. A total of 100 hectares of land were affected by the floods.
She launched a call for donations to cover the costs.
It is a tragedy, wrote the community representatives. Their condolences go out to the family who lost their loved one and to the families of the two people who are still missing.
Grono: Body of a missing person found

On Thursday morning, rescue workers found a dead woman in the Moesa river near Grono GR. It was initially unclear on Thursday evening whether this was one of the missing people in the southern valley of Misox in Graubünden. Emergency services discovered the body at 10:25 a.m., as the Graubünden cantonal police wrote in the evening. The discovery was the result of a joint search operation by various emergency services, triggered by the two people still missing after the storms in Misox GR last Friday.
Five buildings, including three houses, were completely destroyed in the storm. Up to 130 other buildings have been reported to have been damaged and are currently being processed by the Graubünden building insurance company. A drinking water pipe was also destroyed over a length of 600 to 800 meters. A total of 100 hectares of land were affected by the floods.
Even if various damages were covered by insurance or cantonal and federal contributions, there would still be high residual costs for the municipality, it said. A donations account has therefore been set up.
