We now know thatActivision should not release a new episode of the license call of duty in 2023. A decision that may come as a surprise given that the series has maintained its pace of publication for quite some time, but the fact that Warzone 2.0 either there to increase the publisher’s revenue somewhat fills this shortfall. An additional campaign and cards from several episodes?
Anyway, that’s what it says TheGhostofHopea recognized leaker in the community call of dutywhich states thata major DLC would be planned for this episode. In this extension, we would first find a new campaignbut also a pack of maps celebrating the 20th anniversary of the license, notably containing maps from the Modern Warfare 2 released in 2009.
All of this was later corroborated by the journalist Jason Schreierwho does not know the details, but which asserts that there is indeed paid content planned for Modern Warfare 2. Activision has yet to comment on the rumors, but we imagine the publisher won’t say anything until the base game is released.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
