Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Discover new images of the game’s campaign

We can’t say it enough but patience is a virtue, and the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now fast approaching! However, if we still have to wait a few short weeks, Infinity Ward is having fun sharing some short videos in which we can see some big clues about the game’s campaign.

According to some Call of Duty insiders, it seems that a well-known mission from the license is making a comeback in the next installment.

When Modern Warfare 2 flirts with nostalgia

If Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 was a reboot of the title released in 2007 with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the developers had not really played with nostalgia and had moved away from the original opus. However, it would seem that things are different when it comes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which will therefore be a follow-up to the title released in 2019.

In a short trailer published on the social network Twitter, many players and fans of the license immediately recognized a mission present in Modern Warfare 2, and this would indeed come from the 2007 game.

This short excerpt is effectively reminiscent of mission 8 of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with the mission then responding to the name of Death From Above. This featured a gunner from an AC-130 who therefore dropped a bomb from his gunship plane in order to repel the enemies who were on the ground. Therefore, it would seem that the developers want to play with our feelings by offering in this new opus a mission that happens to be incredibly similar to the one we all know.

We will have the definitive answer to this question on October 28, when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released. However, for those who have pre-ordered the title, the campaign will be available on October 20, enough to finish the story quietly before launching body and soul into the Multiplayer!

A game more immersive and realistic than ever

Not long ago, the director of sound design, Stephen Miller, delivered an exclusive interview in which he delivered some confessions, especially regarding all the design of the noises that we will be able to hear in the title.

All in all, Modern Warfare 2 will have just over 100,000 different sounds for total immersion alongside our Captain Price. According to Stephen Miller, while there will be some sounds from old games, many sounds will be new, and he and his team have made it a point to bring some fresh air to it all.

Only a few days left before attending the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Muitplayer. But before that, the developers returned in more detail to one of the title’s characters, namely Alejandro Vargas. Here’s everything you need to know about him.
