- In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 you unlock weapon camouflages through challenges.
- For gold finishes you need a certain number of kills.
- You can also unlock platinum and other camouflages.
So far, you had to collect in CoD games for a long time until you got the desired weapon camouflages. In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, you can get these much faster with the Challenges system.
gold camo
In order to unlock special camos like gold camouflage, you must first unlock the four base camos with your weapon of choice by racking up the appropriate number of kills.
Once you’ve completed all of the basic challenges, you can tackle the gold finish challenges, as demonstrated by the Espresso YouTube channel in the video above. To do this, you need a certain number of kills in a row without being shot down yourself.
The exact number can be found in the camouflage menu. So you need three kills for the “VEL 46” without dying in between and you have to do this ten times.
platinum camo
Once you’ve unlocked a set of gold finishes for a weapon branch, in the case of the “VEL 46” submachine guns, you can start the challenge for platinum, as you can see in the video by YouTuber JAY-I.
He also explains that you must have unlocked 51 Platinum Weapons in order to attempt the Polyatomic Paint Challenge. The Orion camouflage can be obtained once you have 51 weapons with Polyatomic paint.
New weapons and paintwork could possibly come, because a well-known insider is already talking about DLCs.
